
Sound Body Wisdom is a somatic approach to an unfolding of energy, expression and discovery. The qualities of movement, breath, voice and rhythm are vehicles for creative exchange, expression and gentle learning in this practice. We will be exploring the intersections of these and discovering the intricacies of sound, silence and vibration more deeply through the tools of witnessing, reflection and deep listening.
We will learn to connect with others and the ground through weight exchange and non-verbal communication. We will find awareness with our breath and bring breath into sound through our voice. Toning exercises and vocal rhythm jams will guide our understanding and relationship with the voice. We will do group and partnered work throughout as we learn elements of rhythm, tempo, creativity, dynamics, counting, empowerment and invigoration.
Sound Body Wisdom supports us moving beyond conditioned patterns and into listening to our own wisdom, connected to others and the world. Each of us brings our own unique experiences and knowledge to this work. Truly listening to our personal wisdom and meeting it with curiosity can help facilitate sessions that serve each individual, the group and beyond.
